Q: What is the difference between a Video Tour and a 3D Virtual Tour?

Posting an iTeleport 3D Virtual Tour is like running a 24/7 online open house, where buyers can visit the listing without leaving the comfort of home.

With 3D models, buyers navigate through the home and can explore it in more detail on a room-by-room basis, much as they would with a private showing. 3D models include a floorplan and “dollhouse” view so buyers can also see the entire property at a glance.

Q: How do I purchase a 3D Virtual Tour for my listing?

Access our budgeting page, or call directly iTeleport Customer Service at +55 11 9439-6609.

Q: How much does a 3D Virtual Tour cost?

Prices vary by market and area. Generally speaking, a standalone 3D model will cost the same price as a video tour package for the same property.

Q: How long does it take to scan a typical home?

That depends on the size of your property. Generally speaking, a 100 m² (1,000 ft²) home will take 1 hour.

Q: How large of an area can be scanned?

Upmost 6,000 m² (60,000 ft²) per single Tour, but this can vary widely depending on the layout of the property, details within, and furniture. 200 Scans is the maximum number of scans that become points of view that can be built into a single 3D Virtual Tour.

Q: Can we scan outdoors?

The camera is ideally used indoors and does not function well in bright sunlight or in wide open spaces. The system works in external spaces such as gardens and patios when there is no direct sunlight (such as at dawn or dusk). External scans can be unpredictable and will be conducted after an on-site review for plausibility.

Q: Do I need to do anything special to prepare the listing for a 3D shoot?

Yes. Because of the way the software builds the 3D model, it is absolutely essential that no people (other than the artist) or pets be in the home during the shoot. It is also essential that nothing about the home be changed during the shoot because this can interfere with the 3D scanning process. For instance, closing doors or moving decorative items can cause the camera not to scan or build the model properly.

Q: Does iTeleport arrange furniture or stage rooms?

We Do Not:

• Move or re-arrange furniture
• Make beds, clean, or de-clutter
• Pick up toys or other items
• “Photoshop” vehicles, walls, damaged walls, power lines, wall pictures, cords, etc.
• Touch personal bathroom supplies (shampoo, toothbrushes, deodorant, towels)

Q: What if the seller does not want to include part of the home in the 3D model?

iTeleport 3D Virtual Tours are designed to represent the entire home. If a portion of the home is missing, buyers will not have an ideal experience with the property (e.g., they will encounter doors that lead nowhere). Because of the way the 3D models are built, we are not able to shoot portions of rooms–we must exclude the room altogether. For these reasons, we recommend that you wait until the entire home is completely ready to schedule your 3D shoot.

Q: The seller has made changes in one of the rooms. Can you reshoot it?

Because of the way the 3D models are built, we cannot reshoot just one room–we must reshoot the entire home. To avoid reshoot fees, we recommend that you confer with the seller to ensure the entire home is camera-ready before we arrive. This includes staging, cleaning, and removing any items that might pose privacy concerns.

Q: Will I be able to edit or change the model afterward?

You will be able to share the model, but you will not be able to edit or change it. If you notice any problems with your 3D model, please contact iTeleport Customer Service right away at +55 11 9 6439-6609 so we can help you resolve them.

Q: When will my 3D model be ready?

Upon completion of the scan the 3D Virtual Tour will be available within 24-48 hours. At this time you will receive by email a link to the model along with an Embed Code (similar to a Youtube embed code) that you can use to place the 3D model on your websites.

Q: Will I be able to download the Virtual Tour for self hosting?

At this time, the 3D Virtual Tours are not available for download. However, iTeleport will provide you with a link and embed code that you can use to share your 3D model on any Web platform.

Q: Can I share the 3D model on my MLS or website?

Yes! iTeleport will provide you with a  link and embed code that you can use to share your 3D model on any Web platform. Most websites and listing services have an option for pasting in a link or embed code. If you have questions about how to share your 3D model on your specific website or MLS, your website administrator or MLS customer service department should be able to help you.

Q: Can I share the 3D model on social media?

Yes! Simply paste the link or embed code into your post and share with your followers. They can tour your property from anywhere in the world (even China, behind the Great Firewall!)

Q: Can I include custom navigation instructions with the model or change the software language?

We can provide navigation instructions for each individual Tour in English, Spanish, French, German, Russian and Chinese. Just let us know which language you prefer.

Q: My 3D model is of a multi-floor home, but I can't see the top floors when I view the model. Where are they?

The 3D Virtual Tour has flexibility that allows you to view the property’s individual floors one at a time or all together. Just use the stacking controls at the bottom right of your screen to change your view, or click on the floors and drag-and-drop them to separate.

Q: Which browsers are compatible with the 3D Virtual Tours?

Anyone with access to the public Web link can view your 3D model; however, the viewing experience is best on certain devices and browsers. ITeleport recommends viewing the model over a high-speed Internet connection, on a device that is less than three years old and meets the following requirements:

Tablet/Phone Operating System
